Grinding meat is not child’s play; commercial meat grinders need to be powerful. Unless you’re making just a few sausages at home, you will need at least a 1 horsepower high torque motor. You don’t want to worry about mashing; you want your meat to come out cleanly cut with all of its natural color and flavor. A commercial meat grinder should be able to meet high volume as well as on demand production. This means that it should be capable of processing (or) chopping fresh or tempered meats. Look for a meat grinder with easy to remove, and easy to clean parts.
